Since May 2013, the Bäckerbrunnen (also called Brotbrunnen) has adorned Schrannenplatz in front of the former granary. The fountain is entirely dedicated to the theme of bread. Three bronze figures, symbolizing the journey of grain, are enthroned on a stylized sheaf of wheat: a farmer with a flail, a miller with a millstone, and a baker with a bread peel. Bronze sacks of grain, which serve as seats, lie around the fountain. The Bäckerbrunnen was designed by the sculptor Josef Walk from nearby Roßhaupten.

A wonderful walk on a path that leads from the old town exactly along the edge of the old Lech high bank towards Forggensee. New vistas and views open up again and again, because between the houses and gardens you look over the roofs towards the Allgäu and Ammergau Alps. On a rock on the opposite Lech side, Neuschwanstein, the fairy-tale castle of King Ludwig II, is enthroned.

The view of St. Mang's Abbey is one of the most beautiful sights in the old town of Füssen. With its large towers and baroque facade, the former Benedictine monastery shapes the cityscape. The St. Mang's Abbey was founded in the 9th century and later expanded into an important baroque monastery complex. Today, it houses, among other things, the Füssen City Museum and the magnificent baroque monastery church. It is a central point on a tour through Füssen.
