The long ascent of Hjasufsknatten from the southwest provides ample opportunity to admire the long ribbon of Lake Nisser and the surrounding uplands. From here, it's not far to the summit, which boasts a lovely cairn and a lodge that was once a military radio building.

This is one of two main routes to the apex of Hjasufknatten, the other being a steeper, more direct ascent from the lakeshore to the west of the summit. Steep at first, the gradients soon ease and you'll have ample opportunity to enjoy the views across Lake Nisser.

Rising to 802 meters (2,631 ft) above Lake Nisser, Hjasufsknatten is a superb objective. Two main routes converge on the summit, one from Vik to the southwest and a shorter but steeper pull up from the shores of Lake Nisser to the west. As well as the summit cairn, there's also a building constructed in the 1950s by NATO on the top that has been converted into a luxury cabin.

Støylanevegen is the gateway to many of the region’s natural gems. It leads to numerous lakes, as well as the trail up to the summit of Håvenuten.

The climb up to Håvenuten takes place mainly through woodland. However, on this final stretch, the vegetation gives way and the slope becomes steeper. The combination of the physical exertion and the views makes the experience all the more epic.

I've done the tour twice, including immediately after heavy rain. With good shoes, it's no problem. Great views.

Even though it's a wonderful mountain with a beautiful backdrop, its height is 706 m. Komoot has the wrong map data 👊. Great view, of course, and the Skuggedassen Herzhäusl ☺️
