Spectacular 360-degree panorama & historic stone path Anyone traveling in the Rauland region should not miss the ascent to Falkenuten / Falkeriset (1096 m)! The path leads over an impressive stone path built by Sherpas, making the ascent itself an experience. At the top, a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view awaits you of the Hardangervidda, the majestic Gaustatoppen, and the lakes lying deep below you (like Møsvatn). Why it's worth it: * View: A true "Alpine feeling" in the Norwegian high mountains. * History: The mountain is named after historical falconry – look out for the remains of the old stone arches where falconers used to seek shelter. * Family-friendly: Thanks to the paved stone steps, the path is also easily manageable for children. My personal advice: Pack a lunch package – there is hardly a better place for a summit picnic than this panorama!

Simply WOW! I was absolutely blown away by the Falkenuten hiking trail. The hand-carved stone steps are simply incredible and make the climb a true experience. But the best part is the reward at the end: an absolutely fantastic panoramic view of the Hardangervidda. It's the perfect place to pause, take in the vastness, and unwind. A must-do for anyone in the area!👌
