This memorial below the Kalmit summit commemorates the members of the Maikammer-Alsterweiler branch of the Palatinate Forest Association who fell in both World Wars. Erected in 1933, it bears the names of the victims of the First World War on a very large stone (with an eagle); later, a smaller stone was added with the names of those who fell in the Second World War. A beautiful circular trail up to Hambach Castle. There are some spots where you can enjoy some truly beautiful views. The Siebenpfeiffer Trail is a bit longer than the road, but it's a feast for the eyes 👁️.
