There is now also a second spot. Very close by. You look over from the shelter spot. Without a shelter, but with a sauna and a jetty with a ladder to bathe in the river. The sauna probably belongs to the farmer who lives opposite. If you ask nicely, you can probably use the sauna for a round. Both spots are top

March 16, 2026, Södra Water tower

Built in 1886, the Södra Vattentornet (South Water Tower) is one of Örebro’s most recognizable landmarks. Located just north of Gustavsvik, the historic tower now stands beside a cozy restaurant where you can stop for a meal and enjoy the unique setting.

Beautifully situated Vindskydd right on the river. With its own dock for kayaks/canoes. There's a fire pit and toilet (no firewood). Very quiet place, but unfortunately, trash is left lying around...which somewhat spoils the idyllic setting. EDIT: A few days later, everything was tidy again; it seems to be regularly maintained.

Nice stretch of double track along the Adrenalin Mountain Bike Trail. Signposts mark "MTB 5", and the trail goes through Ånnaboda and Garphyttan nature reserves. Nearby there is a fireplace shelter.
