Popular around Lake artificiale di Castello
Spectacular summit of the Monviso massif. Access can be via Valle Po, passing through Colle San Chiaffredo, or from Vallone Vallanta, passing through the Boarelli bivouac hut. Both routes take place on scree and have some points where the use of hands is necessary (personally, I find the route from the Po valley more challenging, but they are of comparable difficulty)

Spacious and in excellent condition bivouac located in a splendid place. Accessible from Colle San Chiaffredo via Colletto Dante on a challenging trail over scree with sections requiring the use of hands (ascent route by the author) or from the Vallanta valley with a medium difficulty trail (descent route) passing through the Berardo bivouac. P.S. There are other access routes that I have not taken and therefore do not mention

Frazione di Pontechianale in correspondence with the dam. The highlight is the view of the Pontechianale lake - but the church and the fountain are also worth attention.
