The Lidö Battery was part of Sweden's coastal defense system during WWII. When constructed it included four cannons protecting the approach to Stockholm. Today, one of these cannons remains.

Disembarking at Lidö jetty, the first thing you notice is the Lidö Värdshus directly in front of you. Featuring an inn and a glass-enclosed restaurant with a view of Lidöfjärden, it makes for an inviting place for refreshments, both before and after taking on the Archipelago Trail.
