It's absolutely gorgeous there. ☺️ During my several-hour hike, I didn't meet anyone there except frogs, dragonflies, hares, and ducks... 🐸 In recent years, additional areas have been rewetted. For hikers, this means "more moorland to enjoy." The connecting path "Peheimer Damm" - "Ermker Damm" across the Molberger Dose is no longer in its original form. Some of the newly constructed dams haven't settled yet, so at the moment you're walking over a layer of peat that's still quite loose. But it's worth the effort. Since it hasn't rained for a very long time this year, all the paths in the Molberger Dose are quite passable, meaning they're at least dry. 🚲 The paths aren't accessible with a regular touring bike. Skilled mountain bikers may disagree. ;-) I don't know what it's like in wet years, but I haven't encountered any mosquitoes there 🦟. Additionally, cotton grass blooms everywhere in May.

A few of the newly constructed dams haven't yet settled, so at the moment, you would have to ride over a layer of peat that is still quite loose. From there, it climbs up to a dizzying 43.5 meters above sea level. 😉 It's a good idea to bring your mountaineering gear 😂. Definitely worth a detour.
