The triple border is at the mouth of the Rio Iguaçu into the Río Paraná not far from the Iguazú Falls. The Triple Frontera is therefore in the middle of the Acuífero Guaranís. Geographically, the area belongs to the subtropical rainforest area, part of which is protected in the Argentine and Brazilian national parks of Iguazú. At Hitos Tres Fronteras you can see Argentina, Puerto Iguazu, the bordering countries of Brazil and Paraguay. Here the rivers Iguazú and Paraná flow together. Both rivers mark the borders between the three countries. The watercourses include the cultures of the sister cities of Ciudad del Este, Foz do Iguaçu and Puerto Iguazú. Especially in the evening at sunset, people cavort here to enjoy the view of the colorful lights around the rivers.
