January 9, 2025, Old Deeside Railway Line

Great walks along the old railway line from Aberdeen to Ballater with great views of the river. While many cyclists share the path responsibly, many don't especially during the rush hours where the old railway line is a useful traffic free route and some seem to want to shave a couple of seconds off their PB during their commute.

Tappie Tower sits at the top of Tyrebagger hill. A popular woodland with locals and dog walkers, there are many routes through these peaceful woods. From the top of the tower further views can be seen of Aberdeen and to the shire in the west.

August 27, 2023, Duthie Park

The park is a great place for a run, both as a destination or as a training ground. There are several paths here and you can spend your entire run here. Also the Deeside railway line ends here, and it is just by the river, allowing it to be used as a destination when running along either of these other routes.

The old bridge was once used for traffic but is now pedestrians only. It's an interesting way to cross the Dee. There is a route that can be taken south of the river along to the other bridge to make a circuit.
