October 22, 2024, Shark Valley Loop Road

The circular route can be done by tram or by bike. Now in October, large parts of the road were flooded, making it difficult to cycle. You should also not underestimate the heat and sun's rays. It was a fantastic experience on the tram. There were lots of alligators to see, as well as various herons. We stopped at every animal sighting and had enough time to take photos. The explanations from the guide who accompanied us were also very interesting. Tours are offered four times a day.

The paved trail at Flatwoods Conservation Park is a really popular running and biking loop. There are other trails in the park, but most of them are unpaved and require more aggressive tires and suspension.

This bridge and short boardwalk gets pretty slick after it rains, but it's a good spot to see wildlife in and around the creek.
