Memorial stone on the street in front of the church/cemetery This church was built from 1837-1839 in the classicist style. The builder was Mr. Späthe from Langenleuba-Niederhain. Inside the church there is a very beautiful baptismal font made of marble. The organ was installed in 1839 by G.M. Böhme from Zeitz. The beautiful crucifix on the altar was carved by Mr. Gleitsmann from Langenleuba-Niederhain. The bells had to be replaced after both the First World War in 1925 and the Second World War in 1950. The church tower and the outer facade were renovated in 1993-1994. In 2000/2002 the organ was given a general overhaul and the organ facade was installed.
