The Gothic hall church in the complex was built around 1500. It has an elongated nave, a three-sided end of the choir and a retracted church tower in the west. In the 17th century, also in 1702 and 1783, it was structurally changed (Wikipedia).

The Sprötauer Dorfkirche is a pre-baroque building with a massive choir tower and an open staircase on the west side. From a previous building, demolished in parts due to dilapidation in 1692, the church, which is still preserved today, was built in the same year. The facade is rather simple, it is structured by the arched windows that were created during the new building. The fully preserved furnishings of the church also date from the same period. It includes the three-sided, two-storey gallery, which was built in parts in 1600 and the wooden barrel vault in the nave. There is a popular cycle of paintings with scenes from the New Testament on the balustrades. The building blocks of the pew rows with their column-like facings have also been preserved. In the choir is the pulpit altar, decorated with rich carvings and decorated with figures.
