The path is quite overgrown in summer, but still very 😎🫶 Once you reach the top, beautiful meadows and a beautiful view await you. If you time it right, you can also find orchids.

'Schaflinde' in Steigra Registration number: 5950 Location, description and links Location: Outskirts of town towards Querfurt, 120m west of the B180, dead-end road north of Haus Rosenthal 2 a Near Trojaburg, mighty earthen trunk, deeply furrowed, crown at a height of 3m, then three shoots. Partly hollow, filled with cement. Knight Johann von Eck is said to have been hanged on this tree in 1380. The name Schaflinde probably comes from "Scharflinde" because executions took place here.
