Fabulously beautiful landscape. Filming location of the 80s youth TV series "TKKG: The Empty Grave in the Moor". 🎬👍

The Lopausee is exclusively a nature area and serves for recreation. The water quality is excellent, fishing and swimming in the lake are recommended. For swimming, there is a separate bathing beach and a pontoon in the lake. The numerous visitors can circle the lake on an approximately 2.0 km long foot and cycle path. On the shore, there is a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and a pedal boat rental. In the Lopaupark by the lake, there is a great children's playground and plenty of space to romp around. Every year for the traditional heather blossom festival, the lake is the big stage for the super laser show to open the festival.

At the confluence of the Lopau and Luhe rivers, there is a stamping station for the Heathland Diploma.

I would have loved to do that, but unfortunately the llama tours weren't offered when there was snow.
