[...] Before the first pier (1907–1914), there was a landing stage. The second Koserow pier was destroyed in the winter of 1941/1942 by ice drift and wind. After the war, there was no reconstruction for the time being. From March 1993, a new pier was built [...] In August 2013, serious structural defects were found [...] In November 2019, construction work for a new pier began. [...] The new pier was officially opened on June 22, 2021. It is 280 m long, three and a half meters wide, rests on 67 foundation piles, and has an event platform and an eight-meter-high bell tower at its end. The higher position is intended to offer more protection during high seas. The design is individual, as it does not run straight but curves.

The Seebrücke Koserow in the Baltic Sea resort of the same name on the island of Usedom is a state-of-the-art architectural masterpiece. After approximately three years of construction, the structure, costing around 7.5 million euros, was officially opened in June 2021 and has since been considered one of the region's new, striking landmarks. Unlike traditional, straight piers, the Koserow pier runs in gentle, curved arcs over the water. It is 280 meters long and 3.50 meters wide. It rests securely on 67 massive foundation piles and is barrier-free.
