The Protestant village church Kehnert was built in 1830 as a half-timbered building and was expanded in 1886. It replaced a chapel on the estate from which carvings from the 18th century in today's church probably come from.

Except for the west gable, in 1866 the framework had been replaced by bricks. Inside, friezes and corner garlands adorn the pulpit.
