⚙️ Old mill in Unterknöringen Directly on the water in Unterknöringen stands this old mill – a beautiful building that still clearly shows how important water power was for such small villages in the past. Unfortunately, little information about the exact history of this mill can be found online today. Unterknöringen itself, however, looks back on a very long history and has been documented since the High Middle Ages. The location directly on the water is particularly beautiful. The old mill building with the attached part over the stream still reminds us today of the time when such facilities were an important part of village life. ⚙️🌿 A rather inconspicuous, but interesting historical point, at which one can quietly take a closer look during a bike tour. 🚲👌🏼 Greetings Marcus ✌🏼

Before you visit Wettenhausen Monastery in the town, you can see it from the green surroundings. The stately tower and the red tiled roofs are clearly visible from afar. A visit is recommended because of the museum and the gastronomy.

Beautiful baroque monastery church, but even better is the beer garden.

This memorial stone commemorates a young firefighter who lost his life in the 2024 flood of the century. Despite great danger, he performed his duty with courage and dedication. The stone stands as a memorial to the risks emergency personnel face and as a sign of respect for their commitment. A place to pause and reflect. 😢
