Since July 2023, the Nossen - Freiberg route has been leased by the "Nossen-Riesaer Eisenbahn-Compagnie" (NRE) for "freight and excursion traffic". (I am not sure about its current operational status.) The "Förderverein Zellwaldbahn e.V." (https://www.fv-zellwaldbahn.de/) is also involved in the condition of the railway line, and operates, among other things, the "Museumsbahnhof Großvoigtsberg".

Nossen train station, once the start/end of the Zellwaldbahn Freiberg 👉 Nossen. Perhaps the RB 110 Meißen - Nossen - Döbeln - Leipzig train will soon run here again.
