The simply crafted wooden railing that surrounds this memorial cross creates a small "sacred area" around the small sacred monument. The cross itself, also made of wood, has no corpus or INRI plaque, but is provided with a protective gable roof. The crossbeam is labeled "Bull Cross" and the year "2005". On the longitudinal beam, just below the crossing, there is an information board with a picture and inscription that explains the intention of this cross - the commemoration of Anton Schachner, who died in 1828.

With moderately good weather (cool with rain forecast) on May 1st, there was nothing going on here - probably not a bad tactic to avoid the motorcycles, even if it was rather unintentional.

Once here you can choose either a hiking trail through the forest or a forest path in the direction of Rappoldkogel. Both paths lead to the last steep climb on a mountain hiking trail. But it is better if you choose the hiking trail through the forest. The cows are too close to the fence in the evening (see photo).
