Built in 1907 by the Vienna section of the Naturfreunde, the Padasterjochhaus (also often called Naturfreundehaus) has now stood for over 100 years) (Source:https://www.padasterjochhaus.at) Today (27.9.26), however, it was not only the end of the season, but also the end of an era. We learned on site that the operators, after 50 years, now at the age of 75, are completely ceasing operations. How and whether anyone will continue it is still unclear.

Someone got the title wrong in the valley. Otherwise, an impressive sight.

A waterfall that deserves its name. You can take great photos here. Starting point for two huts with the same name (Tribulaunhütte), one in Austria and one in Italy. If you are looking for a tour that goes from Gschnitztal via the Italian Tribulaunhütte to Pflerschtal, take a look at my From Gschnitztal to Pflerschtal 20km tour. Important: the Italian side requires surefootedness and you should not be afraid of heights.

The climb to the Blaserhütte was long but doable. From the Blaserhütte, the descent into the valley was more like constantly guiding the bike with the brakes on. For me, the loose ground and the countless bends made riding impossible. But with perseverance and a few scratches, I finally arrived in the long valley.
