The Ilkahöhe takes its name from Princess Ilka von Wrede (1838-1913), daughter of Count Carl von Vieregg, who owned the Tutzing Castle (now the Protestant Academy) from 1832 to 1864. Unfortunately, nothing of the temple can be seen anymore. With a little imagination, you could still make it out. A few beautiful, old trees and a few park benches are there where you can sit and enjoy the view (as long as the dense tree leaves don't 'obscure' the view).
