Opposite the town hall lies the broad and peaceful house where Waldsee stored its grain for centuries. Grain was the main food source. Thanks to its fertile hinterland, Waldsee had so much grain that it exported it to Switzerland. Grain held universal significance in Waldsee. It also served as a means of payment for the town. Thus, a grain wage was negotiated with Johann Spiegler, who took over the town school in 1639 as the only teacher. He was granted "a quarterly malter of rye." A granary was mentioned as early as 1348, but its current appearance, with its Gothic stepped gable, dates back to 1492, as proven by dendrochronological studies. Until after the First World War, the house served as a fruit shed. Since 1972, it has been given new life. The town, together with the Museum and Local History Society, has brought together the riches of its past into a museum here. The beautiful chapel at 758 meters is very popular with pilgrims, and not just on January 20, St. Bastian's Day. Located in the middle of the forest, the extremely well-maintained chapel is a real eye-catcher.
