Nice rest stop. Water from the well, not directly from the stream, but from an exposed, unmarked hose. We didn't drink it.

Very good starting point for hiking to the Wildsee, which can be reached via the approximately 1.7 km long boardwalk.

The small chapel next to the Plättig spa, idyllically situated in a meadow on the edge of the forest. According to oral tradition, Joseph Weis, the builder of the Plättig Hotel, had the chapel built in 1897. The successors to the hotel ownership viewed the preservation of the chapel as an honorable obligation. After the Second World War, when more and more tourists discovered the Black Forest High Road from the 1950s onwards, believers crowded into and around the small chapel on Sundays. Among these churchgoers was often the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Konrad Adenauer, who had chosen the Schlosshotel "Bühlerhöhe" as a vacation and recreational destination. Since the ownership of the "Plättig" and "Bühlerhöhe" hotels became unclear in 2011, the chapel has unfortunately been closed and its structural condition leaves much to be desired. https://kirche-tourismus-bw.de/kirche-im-nationalpark-schwarzwald/kapellen-kreuze-besinnliche-orte/st-antonius-plaettig/
