The bike path has a lot of pedestrians (I ride it on a Saturday morning) so it might be better to stay in the street, albeit with a small shoulder and high curb. Still, the views are great!!

For the most part this is a reservation to help protect the river. There actually isn't much to do here other than the main bike path. There is also a park in Dorchester off granite street, which has a canoe launch. Pope John Paul park is another adjacent park on the Neponset which is a lovely place to walk or play sports
