There are several multiuse trails, boating dogs, fishing docks, a pool, basketball court, bathrooms, picnic areas, and lots of parking. This is one of many concrete bunkers built to store explosives manufactured by the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant during WWII. The property was used again for similar purposes during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, but is decommissioned and used for civilian recreation now.
