Beautiful and modern hotel in the middle of Elda. We stayed there on our long-distance hike from Tarifa to Switzerland and can highly recommend the hotel.

Petrer Castle is a fortification of Muslim origin built in the 12th century on top of the old part of the city. Its silhouette, visible from afar, is very picturesque due to its large square crenellated tower.

The castle is located on the highest point of Petrer. It was built by the Moors at the end of the 12th century. It offers a wide, beautiful panoramic view over the flatter "level". A steep path leads up to the castle, which can be used by bike. Maybe you have to push a bit uphill. A detour through the small streets of the old town, below the castle, is worth it!
