The Keetmolen windmill is located on Stationsweg near the Ede-Wageningen railway station in the municipality of Ede. According to the inscription under the sails and the sign at the entrance, the mill was built in 1750. However, this is incorrect, as cadastral records indicate that the mill was built in 1857. The mill owes its name to the fact that from 1845 to 1878 there was a shed near the mill, housing the earthworks involved in the construction of the Arnhem-Utrecht railway line, which opened in 1845. This shed became the first station building of Ede-Wageningen and was named after the mill. The windmill is a grain mill with two pairs of millstones and was built by order of the Van de Craats family for grinding rye and buckwheat. Later, when it became apparent that barley could also be grown in the area, it was also used for milling barley. The mill still has a pair of blue stones and a pair of artificial stones. The milling chairs are inserted using a spinal support. The trough containing the flaking stones is still located in the base of the stone structure.

Dr. Sherman has been back for some time now, on the other side of the street opposite the pancake house. However, this is neither the old nor the new location!
