Klausi
August 27, 2025, Sami Huts in the Church Village

The confluence of the Ankarälven River and Stora Blåsjön Lake is located at an old Sami gathering place. The Sami name is Angkerenjeeruve, which roughly translates as "a dry, grassy bank on a river with many deep holes." The name describes places from the time before Stora Blåsjön was regulated. In 1820, a cemetery and a simple prayer house were established on the old gathering place. The current chapel was built in 1896. Source: Information board
