Good road surface and a straight road, but it is really steep heading down into Bridges. Make sure to use plenty of brakes and take it easy.

Popular Shropshire Hills climb. Tough gradients and an old surface (still paved, but a bit uneven) but the views are worth the effort. Careful of the descents as with all downhills in the region.

Nice place to grab a pint and something to eat if you are in the area. plenty of benches outside if the weather is favourable.

Great campsite with nice scenery and decent facilities (including showers and free wifi). The site is very large so there's no need to book in advance. It's quite exposed so can get quite breezy. Conveniently located close to the Bridges pub :)

Absolutely brutal climb, so long and really steep in places. Had to stop a couple of time and a small bit of pushing due to the gradient of the hill.

Formerly the Horseshoe Inn, the Bridges is a much-loved hiker-friendly pub in the little village of Bridges. Lying between the Long Mynd and Stiperstones, the pub is an excellent stopping off point when walking in the area. Offering rooms as well as good pub fare, despite a change of hands, the Bridges has retained its excellent reputation.
