The Lindhorst Örtze Bridge spans the Örtze River and blends harmoniously into the landscape of the Southern Heath. Its roots date back to 1963, when a partner company of the German Armed Forces first built a bridge at this location. The bridge has since been renovated several times. The current structure was created through the commitment of the village community: residents of Lindhorst, Diesten, Huxahl, Eversen, and Sülze constructed it themselves, donating fine oak wood. The project also received support from the city of Bergen, which provided a grant through the PROLAND program and repaired the access road. Today, the bridge is a rustic wooden structure that serves as an idyllic resting place for cyclists. A bench directly by the water invites you to linger and also reminds you of the connection between the military past and the vibrant village community.

At this point, the cycle path runs alongside the "Obere Drebber." This is a drainage ditch, also known as a canal. Only the source area of the Obere Drebber (approximately 20% of its total length) remains as an original, albeit modified, watercourse. The remaining approximately 80% of its total length is man-made. Because of this predominant proportion, the Obere Drebber has been designated as an "artificial watercourse."
