Bønnerup is located on the north coast of Djursland, directly on the magnificent Kattegat beach and in beautiful natural surroundings. A cozy atmosphere prevails between the old fishermen's houses and in the beautifully situated and still active fishing and yacht harbor of the town. Several years ago, a brand new yacht harbor with associated holiday homes was inaugurated, and there is always a lively atmosphere between the two harbors and the attractive beach. You can get freshly caught fish here every day. Far out on the two piers framing the harbor, 7 windmills are placed. Bønnerup has several good restaurants and shops. Bønnerup beach is child-friendly and has the Blue Flag environmental award. Bathing jetties have been built in more and more places along the beach. An ideal place for swimming, sunbathing, relaxing, building sandcastles, playing ball, and water sports. https://www.visitaarhus.de/region-aarhus/reiseplanung/der-hafenort-bonnerup-gdk792592

This spectacular viewpoint offers a view of the historic, medieval castle ruins, which majestically perch on their own small Baltic Sea island. From here, hikers and cyclists can perfectly overlook the long, historic stone causeway that has connected the fortress remnants with the mainland for centuries.

Bregnet Kirke is beautifully located overlooking Egens Vig. Some carved stones on the pedestal are likely the remains of a former Romanesque church. The inventory dates from a restoration in 1872, during which everything original was discarded except for the Romanesque baptismal font with a lion motif. Often, Romanesque stone churches replaced an older wooden church. This was of course also the case in Bregnet. Perhaps the first church was built as a pilgrimage church in connection with the holy "Tobias spring" in Ringelmoseskoven, east of the church. https://www.visitaarhus.de/region-aarhus/reiseplanung/bregnet-kirche-gdk606023
