Great views from either end of the bridge framing Stirling Castle and The National Wallace Monument.

Love this little short cut near the NCN 76, a beautiful path to ride. Comes out by student halls of residence, so keep an eye out for walkers.

These two Doric columns now marking the entrance to a lovely riverside path. There's also an information board describing the history of Forthside House.

Be aware most gates do open, though there was one at the top that I had to lift my bike over. If you are carrying on over the top to Carron Valley, there is a low fence you will need to lift over too.

I pushed my gravel bike up quite a bit of the switchbacks, it is very very steep! Made enjoying the view all that bit easier.

Very pleased to see this point marked on the map, it kept me motivated through the steep climb going north to south through the Switchbacks!

Lovely old historic bridge. Watch the cobbles in the wet.

If it's immediately steep and large stones, that's going to the sheep pens!
