Strmol Castle is located at the foot of Dvorjanski hrib (“Mansion Hill”) near Cerklje na Gorenjskem. The castle’s roots go all the way back to the 13th century when it was home to the Strmol Knights after whom the building was originally named. Despite changing hands several times, the castle name has remained.

The castle serves as a 4-star hotel and is accessible. Next to the pond there is a coffee house (Kavarna) with a children's playground.
