Tips from the Community

December 4, 2023, Reynolda Gardens

Reynolda’s Gardens and grounds were originally part of the Reynolda estate. Now it is a free entry 134 acre garden complex that includes formal gardens, greenhouses and woods. It is a veritable outdoor horticultural oasis open to the public year-round from dawn to dusk. A beautiful place to visit.

The Muddy Creek Greenway is a 3-mile long multiuse path that runs through several neighborhoods. The path is fully paved and completely off-road. It is a great place for a family bike ride.

This is a very nice wooded trail with a small lake and a creek running next to it. Nice for a short hike or run.

Access to the gardens is free. There are different subject areas. They are quite nice, but mostly planted with flowers that also exist in Germany. Unfortunately there is no shade in the beds. At the beginning of May we had a smooth 30 degrees Celsius.
