Forest Trail in Grönauer Heide, Grönauer Moor and Blankensee

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

"Trail" is rather an understatement for this wide forest path. It's certainly better than the parallel road, though. The right side of the path (to the southeast) is lined with wooded slopes, while to the left lies a wetland. Through the trees, you can catch glimpses of ponds and moorland lakes. (Of course, the path doesn't actually start in the pond, as marked on the map 😉)

But the area has more to offer 😁
Twice, paths branch off to the right, leading to the slope on the southern shore of Lake Blankensee, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view and a short downhill trail. I would recommend this route over the end marked here. At the second of these junctions, a narrow path leads up along the edge of a field. (Sascha's picture shows its still quite wide beginning from the marked forest path.)

And beyond that, keep your eyes peeled on the slopes 😉🤙🏻

Vogelsang – Tree Stump Kicker

Highlight • MTB Park

While the nearby Kannenbruch barely has slopes, the small forest Vogelsang is traversed by some beautiful, narrow paths, which fall to the canal sometimes quite steep. The northernmost route (possibly also the easternmost route + a piece of good road) is the best way to get off the canal. The way further south are on the last piece to the canal partly so steep that I did not want to start it up. They make it even more fun towards the canal (although the leaves do not make it any easier at the moment ...) - the further south the funnier.
At the marked spot there is also a well camouflaged tree stump, which gives off a quite passable kicker without a big incline. The fact that it goes downhill when approaching (from NW → SO) and also in the landing zone, but it makes more mood than it initially looks.

Trail with hills and roots

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Even more fun than I remembered last year. From east to west, a small hill gives off a passable kicker. In some places on a wall there is a trail parallel to the path, which offers even more possibilities. The bridge has now been repaired (but still does not cover the entire muddy section).

Lenschower Weg Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The Lenschower Weg leads through the forest between the parking lot at Schattin Street and the A20 motorway. Although it's officially signposted as a bike path, it's more of a mountain bike trail. The first section is a fairly deep sandy path, which I imagine would be difficult on a regular bike. However, with my 65-inch tires and full suspension, it was easy and fun.

Krähenwald Mountain Bike Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Trave, Elbe-Lübeck Canal, Krähenwald and Christinental. Varied combination of actually several highlights. It is from the east to the west also technically more interesting continuously. Of course, the beginning and the end as well as the intermediate passages can be individually designed.

Not really rideable with gravel and relatively narrow tires (35mm).

You can also see the popularity of the trail. Pretty worn out. Now everything was dry as a bone, and if it were wet it could be a nasty slippery slope, especially on the crests.

Beautiful, partly almost untouched nature and interesting sporty route. Almost impassable after long periods of rain!

Very nice trail through the forest, which I honestly did not expect here at all. When it is a little wetter (like right now) in the depressions a little difficult to drive because it gets really muddy. But I'll be back as soon as it gets a bit drier outside. I want to go through the mud again without pushing my bike !!

The section is very varied. First along the shore and then through the forest. No difficult passages but good to drive. That's fun.
