On my second "Around Germany" cycling trip (this time going left-handed), I cycled along the Swiss side of Lake Constance. Even though the bike paths were consistently beautiful, most of the route was boring – the German side of the Lake Constance Cycle Route is much more varied and beautiful.

Very nice place. Wonderful for soaking up the sun. Wonderful view of the lake. You can reach the shore in Friedrichshafen by ferry in about 45 minutes. I can only recommend Romanshorn. The people are very nice and mostly accommodating. Swiss German is spoken here, which is absolutely cute. I can only recommend this place!
