In the area of the town of Zagórze (Babice commune) there is the Bukowica nature reserve. It includes a picturesque hill, built of Triassic limestone, in the western part of Garb Tenczyński. The reserve is to protect a fragment of the Carpathian beech forest with old beech trees and the local landscape. Among others, the following grow in the undergrowth: Daphne mezereum, lily of the valley, sweet woodruff. The reserve's attraction is a several-meter-long outcrop - a rock wall made of Triassic limestone, in which numerous openings of small caves are visible. There is also a spring here. Local legends tell about the taste and health properties of the local water. According to one of them, a golden duck swims to the spring through an underground corridor from the castle in Lipowiec. King Jan III Sobieski and his army stopped here several hundred years ago on his way to Vienna. The braver ones tell stories about how the miraculous water from the Zagorze spring later contributed to the victory over the Turks. source of text and photo taken from this website https://visitmalopolska.pl/obiekt/-/poi/zrodlo-w-rezerwacie-bukowica-w-zagorzu

We go to the forest nature reserve in the Babice commune along a beautiful route among the trees. The steep driveway that leads to the spring can be a problem.

The pond complex is located in the southern part of the city, in the Dąb region, within the Chrzanów forest complex, Chrzanów Forest District. The reservoirs are located in the area of the former "Tarka" leisure and recreation center, which now belongs to Kompania Węglowa. Despite the fact that the years of its splendor are behind it, it does not lose its attractiveness, if only because of its biodiversity, which is richer here, compared to many other places in Jaworzno. The presence of 4 ponds, separated from each other by dikes and the surrounding forests, are the conditions for the growth of biodiversity in this area. https://www.slaskie.travel/poi/475029/stawy-belnik-na-terenie-osrodka-tarka

Balaton is a bathing lake in the center of Trzebinia in a quarry that has been reduced in size since the 1960s. Entrance is 10 zł per person, parking is 20 zł. (As of 2021) The Balaton Resort has presented itself in a completely new way since 2018: pools and piers with safe water accesses have been installed on the shore of the bathing lake and a wide beach with flour sand has been set up. It feels a bit like being at the sea. There is a bar with good food and a climbing park.
