1. "Zaljev" (bay) is WRONG! Geologicaly it is the CHANNEL and they corrected it = it's called Limski kanal or Lim channel. 2. The channel was the border line (limit) between two counties: Ager Polensis (Pula County) on the south and Ager Parentinus (Poreč county) situated between Lim channel on the south and the river Mirna on the north, Also untill the year 1830. it was the border line (limes) between the diocese of Pula and the diocese of Poreč. Since 1830. it is the 1 diocese = Diocese of Poreč (bishop's seat) and Pula. 3. "Border line"/Limes between the PROVINCES of Istra ("Histria" and Dalmatia was originaly the river Raša on the eastern part of penninsula. By the time Dalmatia was "reduced" and became smaller. Btw, I am the tourist guide and tour leader with almost 50 years of expirience.

end of the fjord with small characteristic places. There is also a beach and an oyster farm. Pleasant until mid-morning, then literally invaded by tourists and boats.

The very end at the fjord is very rocky - you have to use a gravel bike

You can get here by bike. You can only get to the Pirate Bar on foot. The view is great.

There is no viewpoint, just a brief view when you go down the stairs. You can't just stand there and enjoy it. Otherwise there isn't a single viewpoint along the entire route. Very boring and extremely disappointing on foot.

The cave or pirate bar is freely accessible in the winter months. So pack a picnic and take a break there. Tables and benches are available and you can enjoy the view without the hustle and bustle and be on your own. The complex is beautifully laid out with lots of cacti and palm trees. Simply super beautiful!

In total, the Limski Fjord is 10km long and sometimes up to 30 meters deep. When we visited, the water was very clean here. However, we were there out of season.
