It’s a nice walk from the observatory to the horseshoe fall. I loved walking around that area and see the rapids, cave of the winds until this point.

We rode both sides, Canadian and American on this trip and they are both spectacular in your own way. I think I like the American side a little better. Much better view of the river the whole time

Great views and a lovely place to relax and fish. I met a few people fishing from the platforms, and the water reaches the bottom of the stairs near the parking lot. There are a lot of stairs here, so take your time and hold onto your little ones and your phones while taking photos on the platforms. In some places, the railings are so wide that your phone could fall through. There's also an elevator to take you there and back if you can't manage the stairs.

From here, you can enjoy a lovely walk along the river. You can watch the rapids and the waves, and there are some cool informational signs with interesting facts. The path isn't very long, but it leads along a wooden walkway that's always stable and offers good views. You take an elevator down to the beginning of the path. I think this path is perfect for all ages. While you're there, you can experience something wonderful for a few dollars.

Definitely not worth a visit. Long queue at the entrance, and an even longer wait for the elevator back down. The footpath and river are okay, but heavily commercialized.

Both sides have their charm. It's stupid if you're already there and don't treat yourself to this experience from all sides! We were thrilled!
