Be careful, the gravel here is often loose and deep. The trail probably won't be fun with tires under 40mm. At least a gravel bike is a must. The view of the lake itself, however, is very beautiful.

As you walk along the wooden path, you can see the reeds of Lake Vrana, where various species of birds are hiding, including the danguba heron - the trademark of Lake Vrana or the endangered little wren, for which Lake Vrana is the only stable nesting site in Croatia.

€5 is charged here and the ticket is supposedly checked around the lake. I bought one, drove around the lake and wasn't checked anywhere. Everyone who met me didn't have a ticket at all and told me that there wasn't a ticket office anywhere near the entrance. So very strange, apparently only here at this point. Some didn't stop but just kept going and saved themselves the "strange ticket purchase"...

We have been coming to this place for many years. It's always nice. It used to be very simple and rustic, but today it is more adapted to the times. Very nice owners and a very good meal. Excellent olive oil is available for purchase. A must for anyone in the area.
