Schackenborg Castle Avenue

Highlight • Settlement

Schackenborg Slotskro is Slotsgaden's largest and tallest building. It was once built as a residence for the palace gardener.
The first restaurant is Schackenborg Slotskro, which is directly opposite the parking lot in Slotsgaden. The beautiful old inn offers overnight accommodation and a gourmet menu. There are 25 individually furnished rooms named after Danish castles and mansions. Some of the rooms are located in three adjoining Grade I listed buildings that have been beautifully restored.

You have a nice view from this small mountain. Around it runs a wide moat. There are some hills on the mountain itself. On top of it is a small monument and a few remains of the wall.

Gram Castle

Highlight • Castle

Gram Castle is one of the most magnificent monuments in South Jutland and an outstanding expression of Danish castle architecture.

The castle was built over three centuries from around 1500. The three wings that frame the courtyard give the building a very Danish look with their warm reddish brown color, their red roofs and their white cornices.

In 2007 the current owners Sanne and Svend Brodersen bought the castle after it had been empty for 25 years. Today Schloss Gram is a unique and extremely versatile company that is constantly developing. The company consists of modern, ecological agriculture and a cultural institution, which vividly conveys history, architecture, culture and nature, as well as accommodation, a restaurant, Christmas markets, etc.

Schloss Gram offers rooms and holiday apartments for every occasion. The castle has 33 hotel rooms, which are spread over various historical buildings on the castle grounds and are perfect for a weekend or holiday stay. All rooms have been lovingly restored so that they appear bright and modern, while respecting the history of the building. In addition to rooms, Schloss Gram also has various holiday apartments that are suitable for one or more families. The apartments have several rooms that share a kitchen and bathroom.

Gram Castle is located in the heart of South Jutland and many attractions and sights are just a short drive away. So are z. For example, the cities of Ribe, Haderslev and Kolding can be reached in 20 to 40 minutes by car. If you are more in the mood for a walk, you can explore all the offers and attractions that are right at Schloss Gram. Stroll through the castle park, visit the restaurant or the organic, open farm or research the selection of local goods and delicacies in the farm shop.

Gram Castle

Highlight • Castle

The barn was built in 1669. Burned down in 1905. The barn was later rebuilt, but with a slightly different look.
When a comprehensive renovation began in 2013, it was decided to restore the barn to its original appearance, which was built according to Schleswig-Holstein building habits. Hence the name Die Holsteinscheune. The original masonry has been preserved.
