Ziesar Castle is one of the few surviving bishop's residences in Brandenburg. The Niederungsburg is located on the southern edge of the small town of Ziesar, on the eastern bank of the Kobser Bach. Ziesar Castle was the residence of the prince-bishop of the Bishopric of Brandenburg and bishop of the diocese of Brandenburg. Source: Wikipedia

Zerben Castle, also called Plothosches Schloss, is a manor house in Zerben in Saxony-Anhalt. In 1847 a simple half-timbered house was converted into a palace complex following the characteristics of the Weser Renaissance. The manor owner Wolfgang von Plotho, inspired by the Leitzkau palace complex, had a three-wing ensemble built at great expense between 1874 and 1879. The one-storey complex, whose roof has typical Renaissance gables, is located on the edge of a park facing the Elbe and is therefore easily recognizable from the Elbe dike across the floodplain meadows. In 1948 parts of the palace were demolished by order of the Soviet military administration. After the municipality of Zerben became the owner in 1996, it was listed as a monument in 1998. Since 1999 efforts have been made to gradually return the property to its original form. The renovation was successfully completed in July 2011. https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Zerben#:~:text=%EE%80%80Schloss%20Zerben%EE%80%81%2C%20auch%20Plothosches%20%EE%80%80Schloss% EE%80%81%20called%2C%20is%20a,1874%20and%201879%20onw%C3%A4nd%20build%20a%20triple%C3%BCglige%20ensemble%20.
