To improve its own infrastructure and to stimulate the increasing local recreation in the Flensburg area, the municipality of Wallsbüll has created a leisure facility with an adventure playground. A remarkable facility was created on 4.5 hectares, including a former gravel pit, without interfering with nature. It is considered groundbreaking in Schleswig-Holstein and is part of the exemplary overall development of a leisure, sports and meeting place for our citizens. https://www.wallsbuell.de/leben/freizeitanlage/

Here at the quarry lake you can take a nice break. The lake cannot be circumnavigated on foot or by bike on the shore. But you can go all the way down to the shore, there are small places where you can sit and rest. You should NOT swim in the lake!!! The shore is very sandy and soft.
