Noer Castle is not open to the public. It's a youth guesthouse, similar in style to a youth hostel, where youth orchestras and other groups can hold workshops or rehearsal retreats. Inside, there are beautiful halls with pianos for performances, but it's not at all grand. We were here for a violin workshop. However, you can use Noer Castle as a starting point for a hike and, of course, view it from the outside. There's also a bus stop here.

From the west, you can get through the gatehouse over a pond bridge to Schönhagen Castle. The doors of today's rehabilitation clinic, which specializes in cancer, open automatically. The staircase is contemporary and there is a large library on the first floor. The stairwell appears much larger due to the ceiling mirror.

Built in 1889. From the west, through the gatehouse, you get to Schönhagen Castle, today a rehabilitation clinic specializing in cancer.

Even if the patient buildings are definitely inferior to the main building in terms of beauty, it is a pleasure to be able to do follow-up treatment (AHB) or rehabilitation here. Loving and individual therapy helps many people here to get their body and soul back on their feet. Nice that there is something like this in such a nice place🍀

Schönhagen Castle is the listed central building of the former manor and current Baltic Sea resort of Schönhagen, which belongs to the municipality of Brodersby. It lies behind the characteristic cliffs of Schönhagen on the Baltic Sea. Schönhagen was first mentioned in 1652 and goes back to a farm built in 1604 near the village of Höxmark (Danish: Høgsmark). The place name goes back to the root word Hagen for enclosure, enclosed clearing and means something like To the beautiful Hagen or garden. In 1882, Hermann Jauch (1858–1916) acquired the Schönhagen and Schwonendahl estates. Jauch was a wealthy scion of the Hamburg upper-class Jauch family, son of the Hamburg benefactor Auguste Jauch. He brought the estate to its greatest extent of 2,800 acres through numerous purchases. In 1889 he had the manor house built on Schönhagen, which is now known as Schönhagen Castle and is the town's landmark. His son Erich, from his marriage to Agnes von Witzleben from Hude (Oldenburg), took over the estate after his father's death and had the gatehouse built in 1913 by the architect Ernst Prinz (1878–1974)[9]. In the second half of the 1920s, Erich Jauch sold the estate, which formed an estate district until 1928. In 1928, the Society for the Promotion of the Hebbel School of the Kiel Hebbel School Gymnasium acquired the building. It was opened as a school camp in 1929. In the 1970s it was used as a hotel and international educational center. In 1981 the Dorint Aparthotel Schönhagen was opened. Today, Schönhagen Castle is the central building of a rehabilitation clinic run by the Helios Clinics. The castle and the gatehouse are registered monuments in the monument list of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Sch%C3%B6nhagen
