A fantastic long, slightly downhill gravel stretch high above Talybont Reservoir, this trail delivers both in terms of adrenaline and views! The track is wide and mostly quiet, though the gravel can be loose and a bit chunky in sections, so a gravel bike, sturdy tourer or mountain bike is best.

Long road climb out of Tal-y-bont, before the road ends and turns into forest fire road, amazing descent down to the a Taff Trail followed by a loooong gravel climb to the view point at the end of the reservoir. The views and the cycling terrain area real treat, and you could be mistaken for thinking you're in the Pacific North West 🤙🏼

I did this as a descent and it was epic. Perhaps the best section of riding I've ever done... freewheeling at 20mph for 5 miles! Gonna come back for the ascent, which looks long, but not too steep (3 to 4 %) and very rewarding. A fantastic surface.
