This disused quarry, just south-east of the still active Cemex Quarry, makes for interesting topography. There is also the rusted remains of an old GM car.

Fantastic spot for a picnic or lunch. Or even to stop and sit down on the various benches around. Be warned, it can get busy as it is a hot spot of cannock chase.

This isn't showing on the map as I tried to discover what the name of it is. Maybe it dries up considerably in warmer months? It has quite a rustic charm to it. It also has a very mouldy memorial bench (you will end up with a green bottom if you rest upon it) to enjoy the view but the road is beyond it so it kind of spoils the moment.

This is a beautiful spot. Such a shame that the car park closes at 5 as a great sunset view is to be had from the bench. I must remember to come in early winter when the days are shorter.
