Kasson Stone Water Tower

Interesting water tower that served Kasson for 101 years. It has a spiral staircase on the inside to get all the way to the top. Sounds like it was quite the undertaking to build back in the day.

First Congregational Church

A stone church started in the late 1850's that was started and stopped several times before finally being opened by the Congregationalists in 1875. Neat looking building. Made of local quarried stone as so many buildings here are.

First time I pedaled here and it was neat to see that now you could walk through the ruins, as in the past when I have been here they were doing restorative work on the building.

I explored it a bit more on foot today, interesting how they have kegs and stuff in the lower rooms. I wonder if they do tours sometimes. They are beautiful ruins.

Very nice big park in the center of Kasson with lots of picnic options, a pool and waterslides, ballfields, playgrounds, volleyball court, etc.
