Andrus
December 20, 2024, Redwood Retreat Road

This narrow, winding road snakes its way up from Gilroy to Mount Madonna State Park. Don't expect a lot of traffic, but also don't expect a lot of room as the road gets progressively more narrow the higher you get. That being said it is a beautiful ride and well worth the effort.

Tule Pond is one of those tucked-away treasures. Tucked into a small cove along the Grizzly Gulch Trail, Tule Pond is a popular spot for a rest. The water levels are effected by seasonal and yearly droughts, but there's always something to see.
