The Vesztergomb cellar is one of the best-known wineries in the Szekszárd wine region. The dominant winemaker of the winery is Ferenc Vesztergombi, who has been practicing this profession since 1970 and was the Winemaker of the Year in 1993. His son, Csaba Vesztergombi, also a winemaker, has been working at the winery since 1996.
Winemaking is a centuries-old tradition in the family. The earliest written record of this dates back to the 18th century. The first mountain judge of Szekszárd was György Vesztergombi.

One of the most important historical monuments of the city is the Dunaföldvár Castle. According to archaeological excavations, the stone material was brought by ship from the limestone quarry of Budafok. The three-storey tower was built in the 15th century to secure the strategically important Danube crossing. Later it became the central part of the castle built around it. The rectangular castle had round towers at the corners, protected by gun emplacements and a triple palisade wall. According to a contemporary document, the twenty-year-old King Louis II waited for the hesitant noble troops in the Dunaföldvár camp in early August 1526 and set off from here for the fateful Battle of Mohács.

A grófnő kezeltetését férje Lengyelen a kastély közelében kívánta megoldani. Erre volt alkalmas a mai napig itt működő forrás. Ezért a forrás közelében ami mamár „Annaforrás”-ként ismert gőzfürdőt létesített.
Mivel a fürdőkúra sokak számára gyógyító hatású volt, ezért annak sorsáról gróf Apponyi József a végrendeletében külön rendelkezett, ”a lakosság részére a fürdő maradjon fenn”. A végrendelet értelmében tehát a fürdőt Lengyel község lakossága is használhatta.
Gróf Apponyi Sándorné 1926-ban a Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum részére adományozta a tulajdonát képező 2189,6 kh. erdőterületet.
„Az Annaforrás a tolnai hegyhát legmagasabb pontja, a papdi hegy szomszédságában a Lengyeltől északra kezdődő erdő fő völgyének, déli bejáratánál fekszik. A ma is kifogástalan vízminőségű vörös kővel kiépített, állandóan csörgedező „Annaforrás” környékén 150 éves bükk, cser, szép méretű lucfenyők, vörösfenyők, szelídgesztenyék, chamecipárisok, platánok teszik színessé a területet.

Bakta Hill

Highlight • Viewpoint

The Calvary Lookout Tower is located on Kurta Street. In 1983, a lookout composition built from the symbols of the city's coat of arms was erected. It is likely that legitimate criticisms of the names of the living public figures prescribed also contributed to the fact that the work, which was perfectly suited to its function, remained unfinished. The urban historical reliefs imagined in the apse of the pedestal were unfortunately not completed.

Triga Winery

Highlight • Structure

It was founded in 2001 in Szekszárd, as a small family business, which operates on 7 hectares and processes grapes from a few more hectares. The four-hectare area that forms the backbone of the estate, with its processing plant and cellar, is located about a kilometer from the edge of town, at the top of Wheel Hill, in a picturesque setting. The high number of hours of sunshine and the conditions of the loess soil make the region excellent for growing red wine grapes. Our winery is also largely engaged in the production of red wines, the Kékfrankos, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc varieties, as well as their blends, are our most characteristic wines, but our selection is also colored by a rosé and a white wine.
